Blue Books- because blue is a nice colour

Hi! Today I wanted to share with you some blue book covers! Blue is my favourite colour, and I figured it would be interesting to share some books with blue covers. Weird idea? Sure. Let’s go! πŸ’™

I am currently reading Raven Boys for the first time; I’m on the first book, and I’m buddy reading it with one of my best friends irl. I’m loving it so far, but I have a feeling it’s going to be so sad! (Not least because my friend came to me, handed me the book and almost started crying)

The Raven King I think is the prettiest cover, and I really hope it’s as good as the first book.

And ironically, the main character is called Blue πŸ˜…πŸ˜œ

One of my absolute favourite books is Five Feet Apart. It’s beautiful, it’s sad, and its blue. You can’t go wrong with that!

My absolute favourite children story of all time. It’s just so much more inspiring than all the mindless princesses who get saved by a knight in shining armour, and live happily ever after with perfect prince charming. Peter Pan is about a girl who finds herself amongst a group of boys, and yet she is still the most powerful and inspiring of them all, and I appreciate telling children that.

I started this one, but I didn’t finish it because I started reading Raven Boys, but what I did read of it was amazing. It perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to live in a western country, but be from somewhere else, and follow the rules and customs of your own home country but still try to fit in. I always describe it as playing the same game as everyone else with a different set of rules and trying to win either way. Its beautiful that an author can so perfectly write down my own feelings, and the feelings of the people around me. That, more than anything, is what I think books should be about.

Of course, the classic. I haven’t read it yet, not being a fan of classics, but I had to include it

I reserved this one at my library very recently (still waiting…) because it sounds amazing! If I get it this century I will tell you about it once I read it.

Omg I just found this book right now, and I reserved it immediately! It looks so good! Eeek! I’m so excited!!

Ok, I think I’m done for now. Thanks for reading, and for now,

Cherry Blossom πŸ’

    1. I love that copy! It’s so so beautiful. Once you do read it, try reading Lost Boy by Christina Henry. It’s a Peter Pan retelling and it’s amazing!!
