Ciao Bye! Cue 2021

Hi! Its 2021!! Yay!! I hope everyone has a successful, happy year. I know we said that last year, but I think this hear we can hopefully figure out the worst of it. I just wanted to share with you some of my goals for 2021. Keep in mind that I’m a mess, and wont follow through by February. Smh.

1. An Actual Schedule

Yeah. Funny. I know. But I will try. I’m thinking I upload every weekend and on Wednesdays maybe? My problem is that I’m spontaneous- I’ll think of something I want to say, and then upload it randomly.

2.100 Books!

This I think I can do! 100 books in 365 days. I got this!

3.Reading Journal!

Some of you might have seen my reading journal set up for 2021, and if you haven’t go and take a little look, and don’t forget to come back disappointed 😁

But really, I’m so happy with it so far, so I hope I can keep it going.

4. Start Writing Reviews

Some of you may have noticed that for such a bookish blog, I have all of 0 reviews. I just am not very good at writing them. Most the time when I do write them, its basically just *me like da book*

5.Actually Keep Stats?

So umm, most of them time I have no clue what I’m talking about in regards to stats. So this year, I want to keep track of things. So if anyone has any tracking methods they use,do let me know, cos I’m a mess and I need them πŸ˜₯πŸ˜…

6.Have Fun!

Duh!

On a serious note though, since I started this blog, I have been so much more confident, and so much more open and vocal (is that a thing?)

Just being able to talk to people, and get involved has helped me so so much, so I thank you all. I’ve made some amazing friends, and taken part in so many fun awards and readathons.

I love you guys so so much, and thank you. I wish everyone the absolute best year, stay strong, and look after each other.

For now,

Cherry πŸ’

  1. Happy New Year!! I hope you get to reach all your goals!

If you need help with learning how to review, please reach out to me! I started reviewing a year ago (wow it’s been that long) and I have some experience in that area, as evidenced by the five billion reviews on my blog πŸ˜‚

I love tracking my stats (it makes me feel accomplished), so if you need a hand or just want to know what I use, shoot me a message!

    I hope you have a fantastic 2021, Cherry!! ❀️❀️❀️

    1. Thank you so much Alex! Happy New Year, I hope everything goes right for you this year, and you have an amazing year! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™
I would love to know what you use for tracking stats, I’ve been searching for methods, but I have a simple mind and have yet to figure it all out πŸ˜…
I really appreciate it all Alex, thank you so so much for everything this year πŸ’™

      1. Thanks, Cherry!

For stats, the absolute most useful thing you can use is Goodreads, so good thing you got that! Just mark when you start and finish each book and you’ll be good! When using Goodreads on your computer, you can go to your profile and see a list of all the shelves you’ve created. Below there on the right in that section will be a button that says stats. When you click there, you can see your stats for the books you’ve marked as read and added dates!

That might not make sense, just tell me if it didn’t πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

      2. Thanks Alex! I do use Goodreads, and since it’s my first year using it, I’m sure it will be helpful. Thanks so so much for the advice πŸ’™πŸ˜Š

  2. Happy New Year! Maybe start off with mini reviews (actually mine are always mini or once in a while I go off on a ramble about something πŸ˜‚) I write them like a story, a beginning, a middle and and end but I dont really put the plot in there, maybe an overall quick summary???? I only Goodreads and at the end of the year they provide stats for you like pages read, longest book, average rating etc.

    1. Thank you Caro! You too! Thanks for the advice, I really needed it. Most of my reviews end up being a jumbled mess, so a bit of structure is always a good idea πŸ’™

      1. Haha sounds like an idea 🀣 I normally copy a million quotes from each book anyhow, so this should be a lot easier than I thought 😨

  3. Happy New Year Cherry!!! I also need a blogging schedule but first I have to have a bunch of posts lined up and that proves to be difficult for me haha.

Also I think your reading journal looks really nice. It’s imperfect but really cute! I actually ordered two journals from Amazon that will arrive later today so I will be doing the same. Hopefully I can keep it up through the year.

Good luck on your 100 books goal!

    1. You too! Haha I always get super excited and post almost immediately after I finish, so lining up posts is not proving easy πŸ˜…

Thank you so much! It’s very much imperfect but I really like it, and it’s fun to do. Good luck on yours, I would love to see it if you want to post pictures πŸ˜ŠπŸ’™

    1. Haha thanks! It’s so true though, either I’m pouring disappointment on the book, or unconditional love πŸ˜… it’s going to be a while before I can successfully write a review

      1. Totally get that. I mean I haven’t mastered it at all. I do feel as if i talk about the same thing, either it’s great and didn’t see it coming or it’s totally disappointing at the end πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚

I just don’t know what to say, it’s usually just * nice book* or *disappointed*
I repeat the same thing over and over again. Smh πŸ˜”

  4. Good luck with your blog schedule! I think I had one back in like 2015 but I too am too spontaneous for my own good lol. Alsoo reviews are hard haha. I think it’s fine if you just focus on creating content that makes you happy?? Anyway, I’m excited to see what you come up with! Take care.

    1. Thanks! I think I’ve figured something out for now, only problem is it’s fine for now while I’m home schooling for lockdown, but once we go back no way in hell am I going to be able to post 4 times a week. I agree, I’m not trying to force myself into writing posts that I don’t enjoy. Thanks so much for reading πŸ’™
