First and last: a book/series you’ve read and enjoyed but can’t bring yourself to read again
I don’t think there’s any series like that for me 🤨🤔
With a friend of mine: a book/series someone recommended to you that turned out to be different from what you expected
I mean, I’m usually the one throwing recommendations all around my friend group, but the one book that one of my friends recommended to me was Shatter Me. I was really excited for it, because it was one of her favorite series (albeit one of the only series she’s read) but I just didn’t enjoy it much.
Double date: a book who’s sequel you immediately had to read
Every Shadowhunters ever! I borrowed them in 3s from my library, so that the next one was always with me and I wouldn’t have to wait a decade 😅
Let’s go to the movies: A book series that should be adapted to the screen
The Song of Achilles! I am well aware that there is a movie called Troy, but I really want something that focuses so much more on Patroclus, and a movie that doesn’t make them cousins, because that makes no sense 😕
Dreamy stargazing: a book that made you go ‘ahhh’ and ‘ohhh’
Book Thief! It was vivid and beautiful and so well written, it definitely got me oohing and ahhing 😆
Fun at the fair: a book full of colours
This is a bit of an odd one, but You Must Be Layla. It just reminds me of those super colourful children’s shows, except for teens 😅
Amusement park adventure: A book that was a rollercoaster
I have to agree with Jan on this one, Divergent was a definite rollercoaster of a read, or, more appropriately, a ferris wheel of a read 😉😜
That was awful, please excuse me
Picnic with Cherries (hehe): a book whose food description made you feel all *heart eyes*
Harry Potter! Those foods are *divine* I need to attend a feast there some time soon, because they sound so delicious, even to a picky eater like myself!
Trip to the museum: a book that taught you valuable stuff
Well I’m reading a book right now called Without Conscience, in which I am learning tons about psychopathy and psychology, which is just so interesting to me. I picked this book up after watching a behaviour analysis video, and at the end they said that this book covers most of what you need to know about psychopaths, so here I am. I’m really considering maybe studying psychology one day, and I guess this is a taster in that 🤔
I nominate everyone whose name begins with the letters A, R, T, O, H, E, M, C and D.You are now obligated by law to do it 😆
On another note, I wanted to give you all a little update saying that I am now going back to school (UUUGGGHHH) so I probably won’t be able to post that often anymore. I’m really glad I could post this much this lockdown, but thats pretty impossible with school and the many tests that are coming in the next few weeks. I will try to keep posting a few times a week, like I did before, but I’m not too sure how well its going to pan out, so I guess we’ll see 😓
Thanks again Jan,
