Meet The Book Blogger Tag

Hey all! How are you? Today I’m doing the Meet The Book Blogger tag. I was tagged for this by Isha @ Paperback Tomes (thank you very much!) Without further ado, let’s get started:

Rules:

  • Nominated bloggers can nominate ten other bloggers.
  • Use the same questions from the tag.
  • Tag the original creator and the blogger who tagged you

Questions:

Who is your all-time favourite book character?

Just one? Ok fine. Um. I think Nasir Ghameq from We Hunt The Flame (yes I will keep talking about that book till the world ends). Someone just give the poor boy a hug, he really needs it. He’s the Prince of Death, but he is actually really nice, and he’s only on a murderous rampage because he wants his father to be happy with him, so he would do anything for that to happen 😭 Is that
not the saddest thing ever?

If you were stranded on a desert

island, which book would you take with you? (Survival books do not count)

Maybe a classic, because I would finally have the time to sit and really think through it. Maybe the Iliad. And then I might also take a favorite so that I don’t get bored, so I’d take either We Hunt The Flame (not over it yet) or Clockwork Princess. Or both

What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

Well now that you mention it, I do have a whole post on that (hehe self promo) but probably that I don’t like Harry Potter (the character). He really annoys me.

What’s your weirdest bookish habit?

Ok this is really weird, but reenacting tiny things that happen in books. Like if a character frowns or they bite their lip, I would instinctively also do that 😅 Tell me I’m not alone 🥲

What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?

Will Herondale! He would make everything so much more fun, he’d either get me in trouble or have us all laughing 😆

What made you decide to start a book blog?

I’ve never really had anyone around me who was bookish, and since I enjoyed writing I thought I would combine the two and start writing about books (ingenious I know)

What about reading and books do you love the most?
I love the change they can make in people’s lives. They can change who we are and how we think and how we see the world. I think it was books that really made me feel alive, more than anything else in my life, and I love that.

What is your field of study/desired profession/current profession?

I would love to do something in English Literature, maybe be an author or working in publishing. I also really like psychology, and I’d love to study it and then maybe do criminal psychology.

What are some book recommendations that became your favourites/obsessions?

  • We Hunt The Flame (again)
  • Lost Boy
  • Shadowhunters (TID)
  • Raven Boys
  • Martyr

What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

You all already know this, by Lost Boy.  I keep on talking about it, and I will do until someone comes back to tell me that they read it and enjoyed it. Go read it. All of you.

I nominate:

Brooke @ The Reader’s Game
Saniya @ Sunny Side Reviews
Dedra @ A Book Wanderer
Cherelle @ A Bolt Out of The Book
Georgia @ Lost in Neverland
Jenna @ Embers of Eleanor
Jan @ The Doodle Crafter

That is all for today ladies and gentlemen, thanks again to Isha 💙 I bid you adieu,

  1. Loved the post! And don’t we all frown and bite our lips with the characters? It’s become a daily habit of mine 😂😂

  2. You are not alone, I have a habit of frowning, biting my lip, and most of all, winking, when the characters do too. 😅
I loved reading you answers! Wonderful post!! And thank you so much for tagging me!

  3. I can understand why so many people actually hate the character Harry Potter! I love the books even tho the whole “its always me” thing going on around him is kinda annoying. Ron has to be my favourite

  4. I also don’t like Harry Potter (the character). He’s just so meh. Like for the hero of the novel I just didn’t care. Maybe it’s because I had to read his POV for seven books, but I just wanted to know more about other people.

And I also make the facial expressions! You are not alone. I do it without even noticing. Then I realized I’m smiling like an idiot or frowning for minutes on end.

    1. Thanks Amber 😊 I agree, he wasn’t anything spectacular or special, and there were so many other characters who would have made such great MCs (I still want to see Tom Riddle and Regulus’ POVs 😅)
Haha ikr! It’s a bad habit to have out in public 😆

  5. Oh I’m not the only one who dislikes Harry Potter (the character)! 😅😂 I’m kinda surprised that’s an unpopular opinion… or is it just that not that many people admit it? lol
You’re not the only one who copies characters! Any time a character in a book or movie is underwater, I hold my breath! Cause I’m in it for the long haul and until they can breathe, I’ll be right there in the water with them 😂
